Hi Loopers, Is division of property counted as income or is it considered to be an asset? If it’s considered income- does it fall within the same rules as lump sum in the sense that the division of property is only counted in the month received? Any clarity around this would be appreciated!

We have a client whose employer does not offer health insurance, instead gives employees a stipend for health insurance. The person is full time, earns a total of $18/hour. $4/hour of that salary is to pay for benefits. How would we report that stipend when completing the application?
