CMSP on the Connector
Hi, We are not seeing CMSP eligibility for families with incomes over 300% FPL, just QHPs. We have clients who want to enroll their children in CMSP and not a QHP. How should they proceed?

Hi, So, when you help someone pay online using the Connector/Dell payment system, it states that the withdrawal will be a made within 24 hours. So — does that mean all of the people that are trying to use that system (which only seems to work about 50% of the time anyways) TODAY — will miss […]
Hi, So — a family of 4 with 20 yo college student & 17 yo. Employer has been paying 50% of premium but will not be as of 4/1/15. They estimate their 2105 income at approx. $60,000-65,000. Kids have no income. Can they apply since they have ESI although the employer won’t be paying at […]
Hi, I was working with a “change representative” — the CSRs @ the Connector who can actually make changes on submitted applications — this week. The family had 4 income sources, including self-employment that is a LOSS and is negative on their tax return. This representative insisted that the Connector counts negative income as zero, not […]
Hi, Just wondering how to make routine updates, like income and job changes. Is it OK to send the ‘unsolicited’ verifications to the Health Insurance Processing Center? Will they update this information and then we’ll be able to see a change in eligibility (if appropriate) in the member’s HCentive account? Sarah
Hi, When we do new (renewal) applications for clients with CarePlus, will they have to call MassHealth to re-enroll? Will their plans and ID#s remain the same? Thanks, Sarah
Hi, I have several clients who are still recovering from 2014 premium billing nightmares, when they never got invoices and were told to mail their payments and were nonetheless terminated. All of the them use P.O. Boxes for mail, which is true for 80-90% of people in our rural community. Now some of the same clients are not […]
People with Social Security Disability who check that they are disabled on the new system are being sent disability supplements…In the past, when clients had SSDI, they were automatically eligible for MassHealth as long as they were income-eligible. Do they really have to fill out the disability supplements? Sarah
Hi, I did an application where part of the income (rental) was a loss, or negative. In the net monthly income calculation on the application summary, the correct net income showed. However, the determination FPL clearly did not factor in the loss/negative income. In this client’s case it is the difference between getting ConnectorCare Plan Type […]
Hi, So. We are starting to see clients who applied & enrolled in November or December whose Commonwealth Care ended 12/31/14. They did not get a bill or pay on time for January 1 start date. Now they have no coverage aside from HSN/partial HSN. Did I miss something? Everything I saw said Commonwealth Care will end […]
