Eligibility Changes for Immigrants on MassHealth - Hello Loopers, MassHealth has provided a document with talking points for advocates related to the October 2026 eligibility changes for immigrants. Please see the document under State Resources – Job Aids and Talking Points. Or, you can download the document here.One important note that is NOT in the document: Providers and pharmacies should work with individuals who lost comprehensive coverage on Oct 1st to apply to Patient Assistant Programs and/or submit Prior Authorizations for their medications based on HSN rules.To maintain access to medications while providers and patients submit the required information, MassHealth is allowing patients to fill prescriptions from non-HSN providers at HSN-only pharmacies without Prior Authorization through October 31st. Patients who began a medication before October 1 may experience delays.Have you worked with members who lost comprehensive coverage on October 1st and now only have access to Health Safety Net (HSN) due to these changes? Please post on ITL if any of your members are struggling to get their medications (or other services).
